ITCM e-line July 2010
- Ten ITCM students completed the first distance course

Last year ITCM
made a bold (considering the way things are in Russia) decision ... to
start a distance education program.
We saw lots of potential advantages:
-
It reaches All Russian-speaking students
no matter where they live in the world.
- It is cost effective. It
reduces or eliminates travel cost to
attend lectures.
- It gives flexibility to pursue
education at personally convenient
times.
- It provides ability to interact
with classmates in different locations
using real time text, audio, or video.
So ... in January
we offered our first course on Biblical
Theology.
The results have
exceeded our expectations! The new
approach has demonstrated many advantages
over a traditional approach, especially
when we deal with educating church leaders
in young Russian-speaking congregations.
The prior absence of church leaders during two
years of studies was difficult for local
congregations. Now, studying online, they have
an opportunity to continue serving their
churches and immediately apply what they have learned into
practice.
After this course
was completed, students already expressed their
desire to continue communicating with
each other using the network that
was already established be the ITCM.
